Flight of the Conchords

Well,I was dreading Sunday nights without The Sopranos but HBO has really delivered with two new series and a surprise extension of Entourage.

Flight of the Conchords is just too funny. Check out this clip:

The show is about the New Zealand folk duo trying to make the US leap...the half hour episodes are inane and include a couple of music numbers each, all just part of the story line... I don't know how long the writers will be able to keep up the incorporation of really inane songs but for now, I'm having a ball watching it.

John from Cincinnati is another amazing offering centering around 3 generation so surfer-stars in So. Cal. John, a stranger of unknown origin, finds his way to their circle and things become very very odd. The cast is full of great actors and the story is deep with intrigue and humor. You should seriously catch these shows.

My brother likes the Flight of the Conchords too. I've only seen one episode, but I liked their one fan. She's funny, a bit creepy, but funny.

I was curious how the John From Cincinnati was going to be. I saw a preview for it before it started and thought it looked interesting, but we got rid of HBO before it actually started.
