Status Knitticus

I'm so psyched that things are going so well! The last sock for MIL's gift is very close to finished and Niece #2's Prom Shawl is speeding right along:

Shawl is made of 100% alpaca which is dreamy soft and has a slight halo--it should be sophisticated and cozy. Because I'm really enjoying the knitting of it and because Kells is so tall, I'm thinking I might make it a bit longer than the pattern. This photo is taken of the back side of the shawl because in its pre-blocking state, the pattern is much more discernible from the back. Its folded in half so it looks small-ish but it really is quite big already. Gorgeous.
