Not much

*Thanks to Jill who passed this along; originally from Gawker's ValleyWag .

Just a quick shout out to all you folks that are interested; This American Life's final installment on health care in the US ran at the beginning of this week. It is impressive to say the very very least. It has much food for thought, especially those who believe the free market plays out in health care and that this should be preserved. There were some shocking revelations to me...teaser: have you ever wondered about those disclaimer-like blurbs at the end of pharmaceutical commercials telling those having trouble paying for their meds to call a number for help? Check it out.

nb: unless you're subscribed to TAL's feed in a feed aggregator, the episodes are only free the week they are run---thereafter they charge about a buck per download.

That cartoon shows perfectly how I'm feeling more and more recently. No time for smiles or pretty things...
