good grief! I'm so not a programmer. I thought I'd had the workaround for the ActiveX workaround figured out a zillion time already but not until I found Chris Benjaminsen's solution was I actually correct. In retrospect, I know what I did wrong with the two other external javascript approaches (doh! you actually have to specify the path to the file...!). But Chris's solution is much cleaner and I'm ever so grateful. I'll be adding the link to that discussion over on the right with the other valuable blogs on my roll...
