Justin Timberlake has increasing appeal....

On a quiet morning, I was browsing blogs. I found that Special K had been chronicling her trip to LA so I caught up. In doing so, I found the link to the YouTube video here in her comments. Thank you for doing that, K. It has been a long time since I have laughed so hard. The video is perfect in excecution of the early-90's romantic-pop schmaltz videos that had every New Jack swingin' fade-do, oversized jacket wearin' crooner actually taking themselves seriously singing lyrics that would have made Barry White shake his head.

I love, love, love this video. I catch myself singing the song every once in a while too. The best part are the instructions: "Step 1: Cut a hole in the box." Hahahaha! I've also imagined how many men have surprised their girlfriends/wives by acting this out on Christmas. Drew doesn't quite get it-he thinks it's funny, but not FUNNY.

I also followed the link to your blog telling the account of Rob's illness last year. How scary!! Hope you have a much better '07.

Thank you, Julie, for your good wishes for Rob. It was pure hell.

I'm glad the video made you laugh, too. I watch it over and over---and I'll catch Rob's eye and sing "1. Cut a hole in the box..."... we both have to be careful because our girls have been on the periphery when we've laughed ourselves silly and now they want to watch it, too. Ummm,....no!

Hi Kathy! I saw this video when it first surfaced on utube and think it is hysterical. I can just see Anna now... Mommy, why is he cutting a hole in the box? What's in there? Even better, that would be fun to explain to the teacher tomorrow!

Hope 2007 is off to a good start!

Yes, I find it funny, but not FUNNY. What I want to know is what you ladies would do if your man ACTUALLY tried this on you? Would you now laugh because JT did it on SNL or would you tell him he is a sick bastid? Be honest.

Rob will, from time to time, present himself as one of a handful of characters that I know pretty well by now. D-in-B boy wouldn't get very good reviews but I'm not certain he'd have *never* tried anything like this...
