Coming Soon, to a voting place near you...

Funny stuff doesn't get better than this.  Thanks to fellow 1981 Radford HS alum, Rob Todd, for directing my attention.
On a more serious note, you should all read Fareed Zakaria's  most recent Newsweek article on the outrageousness of Palin's candidacy.  In a recent chat fest with Wolf Blitzer, Zakaria said it very well, "...its not that [Palin] doesn't know the answers [that should concern us], its that she doesn't understand the questions..."  And indeed, the questions likely to confront her as Veep are among the most serious of our nation's history: economic crisis, Iraqi war, over comittment of the military, domestic issues aplenty, nuclear proliferation rumblings...   if we can't ask that all our executive candidates have experience, might we minimally ask that they understand the world in which  they will make policy?

...or at least understand that there are parts they don't (yet) understand? And also be comfortable with the idea that those parts they don't understand might not a.) agree with them or b.) look like them?

I liked the flip reference in the trailer to calling her kid "Algebra." I was actually doing a Palin Alternate Baby Name chart in my head a while ago, with ideas like, "Pole-Vault," "Cessna," "North Stonington," "Eastern Arborvitae" and "Long Division."

Oh, I like long division, though if I were you, I'd go for synthetic division. Much less common.
