New Blog: Just the Music
Hi guys: I've been playing all morning; lots of fun. I created a seperate blog supporting this one that has just the music clips and data for songs I've included in daily posts. That way, if you want to just check out the tunes or find the post I put up with a particular song, it will be easier. I'll put a link over in my blogroll but it will be at http://justhemusickhm.blogspot.com/ in case you want to go ahead and add a bookmark.
I'm going to continue to work on it with the next project for it being a bare-bones digital music mix that strings them all together. I may later go in and add some voice over to make it a bonafide podcast.
Finally, I'm thinking about putting up a link to my ftp site and uploading the songs as .wav files so that if you wanted to share my music for your personal listening pleasure away from your pc, you could actually burn yourself a cd. I'll have to grant permissions to that site one by one but it shouldn't be difficult.
My foot is quite pudgy and it hurts. I have lots of percocet so I'm hoping it improves soon (like, while I'm still breathing).

My earliest career aspiration was to be a good old FM radio disc jockey. Having been warned off by folks who thought they were looking after my best interests (when I was six years old in 1969...), I've always wanted to play music for people and talk about it. The tech world has lots of toys for someone like me...
And all of this really came together about the time that my Mom and Dad went off for the trip of a lifetime; so many people want to know about it, blogging just seems a natural. I think when they return to the continental states, dad will take over most of the posting...
Happy weekend. My doctor just told me to double up my percocet for the day --- 4 tabs q 4 hours. I'm OUT OF IT! Not complaining...

This is the thing: I just can't stop talking. And poor Rob---he has to listen to all of it, and be charming about it, too. Hence, the blog--a little relief for my husband.
I can't get over Lyman jamming with Marsalis and the LCJO and doing laundry with the Bad Plus. Geez. In Vitoria, Spain to boot.
