The Day's Bounty

In the mail today, a pretty bauble for me. Sometimes, a girl has to take matters in her own hand if she wants holiday-specific jewels. This is from Dorothy Bauer of Berkeley, California. Her work in crystal is AMAZING.










And Mystery Hat #2 is complete. I really like how it turned out and I'm sure its recipient will as well. Mystery Hat #3 will be the same general shape but with some pattern modifications based on the experience with this first one. I think the crown needs to be shaped more gradually, the main body needs to be deeper and I need to find a way to make it a teeny bit smaller.
